Hoopbus is Popping Up in Georgetown

General   •   July 10, 2026

The National Building Museum is teaming up with Hoopbus, an international nonprofit that uses basketball to uplift communities and create opportunity, for a multi-day pop-up tour in DC neighborhoods across all eight wards. The mobile basketball court – a retrofitted school bus with hoops on both sides of the bus – will be pulling up to Georgetown on Sunday, July 12 from 9 am – 10 am. Stop by the parking lot at 3290 M St NW (across the street from Georgetown Cupcake) and take part in community basketball games and family friendly activities.

Later that day, the tour will return to the National Building Museum, where visitors can participate in additional programming.
